Welcome to CrossFit Teens & CrossFit Kids Iron Duke - Forging the Future of Fitness
CrossFit Teens & CrossFit Kids Iron Duke combine fitness and fun. Our classes are geared and designed for a special population and the specific developmental needs of that population.
Today’s youth are caught between increasingly sedentary lifestyles and single-sport specialisation. This has in turn, reduced physical activity, decreased free play, and more importantly is increasing childhood obesity.
CrossFit Teens & Kids Iron Duke combines gymnastics, body weight movements and weightlifting elements to develop the 10 Physical Skills: Cardiovascular Endurance; Strength; Stamina; Flexibility; Power; Speed; Coordination; Accuracy; Agility and Balance.
In addition to gaining confidence; becoming fitter and more active; being stronger and mastering new skills, our teens and kids also learn the values of respect, support, friendship and encouragement. We teach to ‘Be Kind’.
Our teens and kids can tackle life’s challenges so, when they step out of our gym, they know they can do whatever they set out to do.
Due to various school time changes, our Teens and Kids classes have changed slightly for the forthcoming period.
Teens will be running two different classes, Advanced on a Tuesday (this is based on the teens ability) and a mixed Advanced and Intermediate Teens class on a Friday. Kids will be run every Friday.
▪️Kids classes (5-11) are every Friday at 1700
▪️Advanced Teens (14-16) classes are every Tuesday at 1600, and Advanced/Intermediate Teens (11-15) every Friday at 1600
Due to social distancing guidelines, classes are limited to 10 per class, and all teens and children must individually be pre-booked in advance. Please register each child/teen with an athlete log-in to sign them in for classes. Each child/teen needs to be signed in individually. Prices are £7 per teen and £5 per child. Payment must be made in advance of class. Classes are open to both members and non-members. Teens Classes will last for 45 minutes and Kids Classes for 35 minutes, to ensure cleaning before the following class.
Class times will change during the school holidays.
CrossFit Teens Iron Duke - ADVANCED TEENS 14-16 years
This class will be largely based upon individual skill, athleticism, and maturity. (In some cases younger children who demonstrate a higher level of competence will attend this session). Prices are £7 per teen, per class.
CrossFit Teens Iron Duke - ADVANCED & INTERMEDIATE TEENS 11-16 years
In some cases younger children who demonstrate a higher level of competence will attend this session. Prices are £7 per teen, per class.
CrossFit Kids Iron Duke - 5-11years
Fridays 1700. Prices are £5 per child, per class

CrossFit Teens Iron Duke (15+)
Teens between 15-18, are permitted to train in adult WOD classes (once they have completed the intro sessions - or progressed through the teens program - and have shown a required level of competence), but must have a parent or guardian in attendance when training, if the kids trainer is not on site.
Discounts apply for teens on monthly memberships and punchcards.
Please note that it is not the age of your child that is the deciding factor for what class he or she attends. It is largely based upon individual skill, athleticism, and maturity and is ultimately decided upon by the Kids Trainer to ensure your child is getting the most out of the CrossFit experience.
All of our coaches have been background checked, and this is reviewed in accordance with current guidelines and regulations.
The free taster session/free week regrettably does not cover Kids or Teens sessions.
